Phil Oates
Planning the Fifth Annual Phil Oates Celebrity Golf Tournament personally evokes a lot of various emotions. Thankfulness. Humility. Excitement.
Thankful for all the people that made the past four years possible. My local friends have stepped up to faithfully support this endeavor both with time and money YEAR AFTER YEAR. Iconic celebrities have trusted me by coming to my community from across the country to participate. The excitement brought by the celebrities is a critical element of this event.
The cooperation of so many friends and the trust of Hammond Entertainment is very humbling. In over four years, we have assisted many tremendous charities and significant donations totaling over one million dollars. People trust the leadership of this tournament with their time and money to provide two days of fun and memories.
All this leads to the excitement of this year’s tournament on October 12th and 13th. With the positive response from last year, the preparty will be at a Buzz Oates warehouse location to be determined. We are moving Granite Bay Golf Club (Granite Bay Golf Club | Granite Bay, CA | Invited (invitedclubs.com). It is a beautiful but challenging track.
The tournament will again be one you will not forget. Returners and new groups are welcomed with open arms. See you in October.

Phil Oates
Phil Oates is Chairman of The Board for Buzz Oates, a leading commercial real estate developer in the Greater Central Valley of California.
The Oates Family Foundation honors and promotes the legacy of his father Marvin “Buzz” Oates. Phil Oates is prominently involved in local philanthropic efforts that support faith-based fundraising, children’s causes and education.
Phil is also a local owner of the Sacramento Kings and is passionate about his community and the future of the city. He believes the best days for Sacramento are right around the corner.
